Blog: Queen of Dental Hygiene

I am one of our region's only registered dental hygienists with a focus on holistic, integrative, systemic dental hygiene, and one of the only hygienists who uses a phase contrast microscope to attain the highest degree of  precision and results. I am also a certified Myofunctional Therapist, a certified Periodontal Therapist and I have a certification in Caries Management by Risk Assessment (CAMBRA). In my spare time I blog at The Queen of Dental Hygiene -- the world's only holistic dental hygiene blog for the everyday person.  I’m also working on a children’s book about holistic oral hygiene and its connection to total body health, and I own and operate Washington Oral Wellness, specializing in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy which helps people of all ages with swallowing, breathing, noxious habit elimination and oral muscle re-education.

I believe in science-based treatments and I have committed to a lifetime of learning to be the best healer possible for my patients. I have a Bachelors of Science in Dental Auxiliary Teacher Education from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, a Masters of Science degree in Business from Husson University and I regularly attend conferences and take continuing education courses. I share my knowledge by speaking at Dental Hygiene schools and volunteering my time at speaking engagements for local junior and senior high school health classes.

I love working with Dr. Panahpour because we share the same philosophy on wellness as well as a passion for learning, including staying on top of the newest research, techniques and technology so that our patients can benefit from the very best care supported by the latest science.
