3-D Cone Beam CT Scan to Identify Infections

CT Scan
Few, if any other Holistic Dentists in Seattle are empowered by in-house dental computed tomography (CT) scan technology.

This machine, rarely found in an ordinary dental practice, allows Dr. Panahpour to detect infection, decay, bone loss or inflamation in your jaw and teeth.

CT Scan

A computed tomography (CT) scan creates images of the tissues inside the mouth and jaw. Images are taken from several different angles, providing 3 dimensional view instead of just a flat 2-dimensional image used regular dentists who do not have an expertise in biological dentistry. CT scans create images of the body’s tissues that are much more detailed and reliable for detecting infection that may otherwise never be seen by your regular dentist.

CT scans are useful for:

• Detecting any hidden infection in the jaw or mouth, frequently found at the site of older root canals and often at the site where a wisdom tooth was removed.

Request a Cone Beam 3-D CT Scan appointment for Dr. Panahpour to determine if unseen infection in your jaw and mouth could be stressing your immune system, and adversely affecting your overall health, or contributing to ongoing diseases that you are fighting.

DENTAL CONE BEAM CT. DENTAL CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CT) IS A SPECIAL TYPE OF X-RAY EQUIPMENT USED WHEN REGULAR DENTAL OR FACIAL X-RAYS ARE NOT SUFFICIENT. YOUR DOCTOR MAY USE THIS TECHNOLOGY TO PRODUCE THREE DIMENSIONAL (3-D) IMAGES OF YOUR TEETH, SOFT TISSUES, NERVE PATHWAYS AND BONE IN A SINGLE SCAN.
